International Women's Day 2018

International Women's Day 2018

Our Story

AllWithBooks was born when I found out that my wife and I were going to become parents of a baby girl. I wrote three short stories with my future daughter as the main character. In these books she would become a famous photographer in Ngorongoro, Tanzania,  a college student traveling in Machu Pichu, Peru and a social entrepreneur buying coffee in Chiapas, Mexico.
After finishing the third story I reflected on how lucky my family is and that my daughter would have access to books and education and with that she could realize her dreams. But as you know, this is not necessarily the case for many girls in Tanzania, Peru, Mexico and many other parts of the world.

That's when the idea of AllWithBooks was hatched - Children's books with stories inspired by rural communities- that also builds libraries and fills them with books.  Together with Sean, Phox, Yoa and with most importantly our community of backers, fans and customers we made that happen!

Books that empower girls from Katab

You helped us choose new and inspiring books for Katab's community library, but also books that motivate and empower girls from Katab by reading about women who changed the world and fought for their rights.  Books like Malala, Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls, Women in Science, Girls Think of Everything and many more.

Thank you for making this International Women's Day, the day girls and boys, women and men from Katab, can read these and many other books in the library you helped us build.

We will continue working and #PressforProgress so that all the children of the world have access to books.

Thank you,

Enrique Uribe
